MISSION
The Finance-General team’s mission is to protect Sitel’s interests in driving business performance, to optimize profitability & cash, maintain strong internal control environment and deliver accurate Tax returns and financial statements.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Financial Controller is responsible for the entire accounting and tax perimeter of his/her country. Take ownership for all accounting aspects of the General Ledger, AR, AP, Payroll, Assets & Liabilities and P&L. Complete accountability for the accuracy of monthly reporting, all statutory accounts requirements, treasury forecasting and tax return filling.
He/she supports the country CFO with analysis and reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the Month-End, Year-End and Statutory Accounts are delivered on time and accurately and ensure the balance sheet is fully reconciled.
- Review, approve and justify account reconciliations in IFRS/local GAAP and various reporting packages requested by Corporate Finance.
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Payroll interface, Inventory Accounting, Asset’s register, Revenue Recognition, Account Reconciliations, Cost and Revenue Accruals.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax fillings.
- Monitor daily and report on bank account balances and supervise monthly bank reconciliation.
- Track, protect and and report on tangible assets and inventory.
- Complete internal and external tax reporting on a timely and accurate basis.
- Prepare schedules in relations to CIT/VAT/WHT, and all other taxes.
- Manage and implement tax compliance process, from reporting to payment submission.
- Continuously update Finance Director with tax policies and highlight potential risks or issues from a tax perspective.
- Work with internal and external clients (BI, FP&A, Departments requests, external audit firms…etc.) and provide required information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Respond to accounting inquiries from management accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
- Ensure control and process documentation is maintained.
- Prepare, submit, and fill statutory accounts and report to local authorities or company management.
- Protect from fraud attempts and develop a surrounding awareness on fraud/phishing risk
CHALLENGES

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Work Experience
- 8-10 years minimum post qualification experience in a large company
- Worked in a global organization with multiple countries
- Strong experience in Finance and Local Tax laws
- Hands-on experience in all areas of accounting, financial reporting, tax, and auditing
- Experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model
Education
- Bachelor’s in Finance/Economics from a reputable university – minimum grade: Very Good
Certifications and Licenses
- Local and US GAAP and IFRS
- CPA/CFM or equivalent
- Country level knowledge of Corporation Tax, WHT and VAT
Languages
- Very Good command of English (Required)
- Other languages (nice to have)
