The Opportunity
SquareTrade is a high growth consumer insure tech company with its global head office based in San Francisco
and its European headquarters in London.
As a highly successful organisation with an enviable position in its market and a clear growth strategy,
SquareTrade now has the need to further build out their team and strengthen capability in business
development and account management and build strength and depth in leadership capability and succession
planning. Kevin Gillan, Managing Director Europe, heads the business and is closely supported by a leadership
team of CFO, Senior Director, Partnerships and Senior Director IT & Change, plus a Customer Experience
Director, Operations Director and a further team of 30 people. This team is made up of a mix of backgrounds,
including consultancy and industry, and everyone is united by their genuine passion for SquareTrade, its
entrepreneurial culture, its values and real success in driving market and category disruption in an increasingly
international market.
SquareTrade has been working with its second biggest partner, MediaMarktSaturn Germany, since May 2019,
and the partnership is growing at the fastest pace we have ever seen. We are therefore looking for someone
with to join the Partnerships Team, working with us to identify and develop opportunities that can further grow
the account, optimise the experience of our customers and partner, and strengthen our relationship with
stakeholders.
The Role
- Title: Senior Analyst - Partnerships – MediaMarktSaturn Germany
- Reporting to: Senior Manager - Partnerships – MediaMarktSaturn Germany
- Location: Office based, London (Soho) with c.20% travel to Germany
Main Purpose & Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst supports the Senior Manager with any projects related to the partnership with
MediaMarktSaturn Germany and the accounts' top-to-bottom-line performance and development. In
particular:
- Support account relationship with MediaMarktSaturn Germany, both day-to-day and long-term/strategic
projects, building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Support and own projects across the account designed to improve performance, including both pre-sale
and post-sale projects
- Works closely with cross-functional teams including Operations/CX, Finance, Legal/Compliance,
Marketing, and other teams during projects
- Carries out analytical work to analyse performance and identify opportunities for performance
improvement and new projects
- Supports business development in the region.
- Point of point of contact and reference for partner and internally at SquareTrade regarding the partners'
programs and the local/regional market.
A successful Senior Analyst is a true relationship owner for SquareTrade partners – leading them to greater
revenues from insurance programs and improved customer loyalty overall – and an enthusiastic colleague –
delivering on accounts’ internal goals in terms of sales and profitability.
The Candidate
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in a highly analytical role within retail/FMCG/consumer services, or experience in a consulting
role working with retail organisations;
- Experience of B2B channels
- Strong understanding and preferably experience in the optimisation of customer experiences
- Track record of successful internal stakeholders and client relationship management, project
management.
- Strong business/commercial acumen.
- Fluency in German and English
Skills & Personal Attributes
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
(senior/junior, tech/non-tech, internal/external) and represent SquareTrade externally.
- Aptitude to work and succeed both in a tight team and alone.
- A likeness for and willingness to travel.
