Description

General Purpose

Reporting to the EMEA HR Director, the post holder will closely partner with local HR managers and Global Compensation to identify, then update or reimagine, how we compensate and reward our employees.  Data ownership, assessing compensation competitiveness, recommending how we prioritize our spending, and helping make sure our processes are effective and fair are the cornerstones of the role.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Compensation Program Evaluation and Design
    • Investigate country or functional unit pay practices, identify and collect relevant data and construct models to project costs and assess program effectiveness.
    • Based on findings and input from peers, make recommendations to the EMEA leadership team on how to prioritise opportunities.
    • Partner with Global Compensation to ensure alignment on design proposals.
  • Implementation
    • Design, documentation, and rollout of communication and training materials, answering questions from HR partners and general management.
    • Audit of program compliance with project plans and corporate principles.
  • Administration
    • Management of salary survey activities (including bid management, purchases, participation, and data aggregation)
    • Maintaining participant lists for select/centrally managed global programs (senior level short term incentives, equity, etc.)
    • Resolving job evaluation and regulatory issues, providing pay guidance to managers and HR partners, and updates of centralized information repositories.
  • Systems Optimization duties
    • Partner with HR Systems and Reporting teams to leverage our HRIS system (SuccessFactors)
    • Actively collaborate with HRBPs across the region to improve data accuracy
    • Provide value-added reports to leadership.
  • Administration of for employee data and information changes in the HCM system.
  • Assists with projects in other areas of HR (e.g. Benefits and Compliance).
  • Maintains and is able to exhibit a strong fundamental understanding and knowledge of the Company’s business, policies, procedures and market position.
  • Adheres to the Company’s policies on ethics and integrity.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Demonstrated success in managing base pay, incentive administration, merit administration, and acting as subject matter expert for a unit of a large, international employer.
  • Three years of relevant experience in an individual contributor compensation role.
  • Experience in labour-intensive industries (retail, hospitality, contact centre) would be an advantage.
  • Ability to independently maintain productivity and progress toward annual goals.
  • Ability to field and independently respond to questions from colleagues from across the region.
  • Proficiency in verbal communications and the assembly, formatting and presentation of executive level communications.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
  • Experience of using enterprise HCM systems would be an advantage
